There is something so satisfying about treating yourself to new stationery and notebooks. Of course, the people of Pukka Pads are stationery obsessed, and I am here to assure you this is not an uncommon obsession! Stationery has evolved from mundane tools to objects that can bring such joy and capture moments of inspiration. Technology has quickly wormed its way into all aspects of our lives, but you cannot beat the feeling of writing your first sentence in a fresh notebook or organising your desk with new pens.

Chances are, you’re here because of your stationery obsession. So, here are some things you can probably relate to:

Messing up the first page in a notebook is heartbreaking...

You've bought yourself a love new notebook, the pages are crease free and the design is beautiful. now it's time to write the first line on the first page... There are a few things that could ruin your first page, like spelling something wrong, but for me, it's when the ink of the pen doesn't come out properly and you end up with faded words that need writing over. this is made even worse when you can't easily rip out the page! 

Tip: Always practice using the pen before you start writing in your brand-new notebook.

The most exciting part of a new year is a new planner!

A new planner is an essential part of your new chapter in life! of course, you could write your to-do list on your phone, but how satisfying is actually handwriting your list and ticking them off as you complete them?!

You've debated whether it's okay to spend more money on stationery and notebooks than on a piece of clothing...

Of course, it's okay! There's nothing wrong with treating yourself, especially on something that will help you with your productivity. Plus, stationery is the best!

That feeling when you find the perfect pen.

A pen that writes smoothly but isn't too heavy or too light to hold is a satisfying find. Once you find the perfect pen, it's not easy to part ways with it when someone asks to borrow it... Especially if that person isn't known to give items back!

You find excuses to make to-do lists.

Nothing says productive day like a completed to-do list. We often find ourselves adding something to a to-do list even if we've already done it because there isn't a feeling that's more satisfying. 

You've owned every type of pencil case. 

Pencil cases are designed to protect our stationery, but let's be honest, what they look like is way more important. If you've been a stationery lover for a while you've probably owned a fair few different types of pencil cases; from a tin pencil case to a super fluffy pencil case perhaps?!

You own so many notebooks you can barely keep up!

You can never have too many notebooks, and of course, a different notebook is required for each aspect of your life. E.g. to-do lists, shopping lists, budgeting and work notes.

Still, you can always convince yourself you need a new notebook at any point... 

As soon as a new design catches your eye, it takes very little convincing to treat yourself to yet another new notebook... Even if you've still got a pile of empty ones. 

Stickers and highlighters make your day better.

Office and school notes are instantly improved once a few stickers and highlighted words are added. 

Anything that can help you stay organised is a great investment. 

From files to folders, notebooks to magnetic to-do lists, anything to ensure you're as organised as can be is a good investment. And what a bonus when the products look as good as ours do. 

 

So, why do we love stationery so much?!     

Well, firstly, stationery represents a fresh new start. It brings a sense of hope and excitement for a new chapter in our lives, whether it be a new job, a new school or a new year. Stationery and all the accessories are also an affordable way to express yourself and be creative. We also believe it will help us to be more organised, after all, what is it they say about writing things down? So keep shopping stationery, writing to-do lists and being an organised human being.
